Assessment Ward – Modular Building

Southampton General Hospital was a project which was assigned to our crew by Kier Construction to design and install a 8no. bay modular, to be used as an assessment ward for the Southampton hospital which must meet all Building Regulations. The modular was to be placed within a tight courtyard within the hospital walls itself. This required our skilled team of builders to lift the modular over the existing buildings with a large crane and into the tight courtyard. Both Kier and Southampton General Hospital were thrilled with the final design and we are liaising with them as to a possible Accident & Emergency Building to be installed in 2015.

Our team design many buildings to measure and helped Southampton General hospital to measure precisely to fit perfectly into their courtyard so it could be used as a outdoor consultation building. Providing a large area for seating and consultation rooms, including a reception area to keep paperwork.

Modular Hire Medical Centre

ad Modular were contacted by the Architect who had been let down with regard to a proposed medical centre facility.  This project had a very tight deadline which we needed to achieve without any compromise on quality.  Their requirement was for the full turnkey package including groundwork’s, foundations, service connections and landscaping.  All works including the buildings were to conform to Building Regulation Approval, for which we were to gain certification.

We also acted as Principal Contractor.

The building was to include consultation rooms, waiting area, toilets and offices.  Our Technical Team, together with the clients input, designed the requisite hygienic fixtures and fittings including curtain tracking around the beds, specialised sinks and flooring all of which needed to comply with HTM.  We also designed and installed a reception desk within the reception area.

AD Modular completed the contract within the required timescale and on budget, the medical staff and architect were over the moon with the completed project.
